Every engagement starts with a conversation about the house, how it is lived in and what it is missing. From there we scope the work and recommend the structure that fits.
Concept, drawings, finish and material selections, furniture plans, lighting, window treatments and art, carried through to installation. For focused work we bill hourly; for whole-house programs we scope a flat fee after the consultation so the number is known before the work starts.
We purchase on the client's behalf through our trade accounts, track every order, coordinate receiving and delivery, and install. Damaged or wrong pieces are our problem to resolve, not the client's. Procurement is available on its own or as part of a design engagement.
A new house arrives clean and capable and anonymous. We write a focused program for it: millwork and vertical lap where the walls are flat, tile where it earns its place, wallcoverings with texture, built-ins that read as furniture, a palette drawn from the water and the marsh, and furnishings chosen to be lived with. The result is a house that reads as designed rather than built to sell.
Two hours in the house with the studio, working room by room through paint, layout, lighting and the handful of changes that will matter most. You receive a written summary you can act on yourself or hand to us.
